Meet Bobby
Well I am Bobby D, born and raised in the beautiful city of Tacoma, Washington. Where ever I may roam in this world Tacoma well always be home!
First and foremost before I go any further, I have to say something about my dad! Could not be where I am today without the knowledge that my dad has given me. He has taught me how to be a real man. Not a muscle head idiot, but a real caring person! Every step of the way my dad has been there to pick me up and show me right from wrong with out him I really might be lying face down in a ditch somewhere! Words could never express what he means to me and I thank you pops from the bottom of my heart for everything you have ever done for me!! You're not only my dad but my best friend, THANKS!!!
OK moving on! I went to college at Western Washington University in the equally beautiful Bellingham, Washington. There I majored in Communications and minored in Journalism. Worked with some great people along the way. One person that will always stand out with me is Tara Perry a Communications professor at WWU. She was probably the person next to my father who really showed me that hard work will pay off in the long run!!
After WWU I went back to Tacoma and worked at a mortgage bank and at I-91 FM in Tacoma. After about a year and a half in Tacoma I moved from there to where I am now which is the beautiful city of La Grande, Oregon.
I am currently working for Pacific Empire Radio as Program Director for 5 stations in La Grande and host the Bobby D Show on Classic Rock 98.7! I must say that I work with the greatest group of people in the whole world. From top to bottom I feel super lucky to work with the people that I do!
My family life goes as follows... I lost my mom when I was 15, to alcohol and abuse there of. Like I said above I have the greatest pops in the world, I call him Big Bob. Lizzy is my sister and she is currently attending WWU also majoring, like her big bro, in Communications but she wants to be an actress!! With all her drama she would be great! And she is also the best little sister a guy could ever ask for, thanks Biz! Other than that I have two wonderful grandmas and that is it for my family!
I do consider my friends to be part of my family! I have been blessed with some of the greatest friends ever! Civi, Rossman, Hunt, Rups, Schoop (my once bodyguard!), Morrow, Cliff, Brian Stone, Erker Jerker, Jade-a, Josh and Jason, Liquid Lonnie, my homie from I-91 Bucy, the Yeomans, Susan C. and her whole family, Rex and his wife, and so many more that I could never even begin to list them all here.
Someone that I would never forget is my cuz Johny Merkle, a family member as well as a best friend that has been there every step of the way to tell me when I am doing right and doing wrong!! Could never thank you enough dude!!!
Also a last special thanks to Cliff the morning producer for putting all this together and putting up with me every morning on our morning show!! You are a champ dude!
Well this is me, I know, not that interesting! Enjoy the site and have a great day!
